Launch of cooperative model for rescue and safety systems with the German Armed Forces Cooperation between the German Air Force and industry ensures long-term technological participation by integrating military personnel into industrial maintenance and repair processes. This leads to a bundling of military and civilian know-how and to the safeguarding of core capabilities, which is also important from an economic point of view. This means that military-trained personnel with the necessary specialist knowledge are available at all times for tasks in the operational area, as is the specialist expertise in peacetime operations. AUTOFLUG is the first medium-sized industrial company with which the Bundeswehr – and the German Air Force in particular – has agreed to cooperate. Together with the Air Force Maintenance Group Ummendorf, AUTOFLUG in Rellingen provides economical and competent support for rescue and safety equipment for the PA200 TORNADO, F-4F PHANTOM and EF2000 EUROFIGHTER weapon systems.
